Descripción
Fc Receptor Like 2 (FCRL2) is another member of the FCRL family, predominantly expressed on mature B cells and plasma cells. FCRL2 also contains cytoplasmic ITIM motifs, indicating its role as an inhibitory receptor. It is involved in modulating B cell receptor (BCR) signaling, plasma cell survival, and antibody production. Alterations in FCRL2 expression have been implicated in hematological malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), where it may serve as a biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic targeting.
