Description
Glutathione Reductase Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Glutathione Reductase (GR) activity in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell lysates using a spectrophotometer. With the coenzyme as hydrogen donor, GSSG can be reduced to GSH under the catalysis of GR, causing an increase in GSH concentrations and a decrease in NADPH concentrations. The decrease of NADPH absorbance can be measured at 340 nm. The activity of GR can be calculated by determining the change in NADPH concentration.
