Description
Glycolate Oxidase Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Glycolate Oxidase activity in plant tissue using a spectrophotometer. Glycolate oxidase catalyzes the oxidation of glycolate to glyoxylic acid, which reacts with phenylhydrazine hydrochloride to form phenylhydrazone glyoxalate. The reaction product has an absorption peak at 324 nm, and its OD value is proportional to the concentration of phenylhydrazone glyoxalate, from which the activity of glycolate oxidase can be calculated.
