Descripción

IGSF3 is widely expressed in epithelial and immune cells, where it plays roles in cell adhesion and immune regulation. Structurally, it contains multiple Ig-like domains and is involved in maintaining the epithelial barrier integrity and regulating immune cell interactions. IGSF3 is implicated in inflammatory diseases, where its dysregulation can lead to immune hyperactivation or loss of barrier function. Additionally, it has been linked to cancer biology, where abnormal IGSF3 expression contributes to tumor progression, metastasis, and changes in the tumor microenvironment. IGSF3 is an emerging target for research in cancer and inflammatory disorders.
