Descripción
TMIGD2 (Transmembrane and Immunoglobulin Domain Containing 2) is associated with immune modulation and endothelial cell interactions. Expressed on certain immune cells and endothelial cells, TMIGD2 mediates adhesion and communication between these cellular populations. It has been identified as a co-stimulatory molecule that enhances T-cell responses during immune activation. TMIGD2 also contributes to vascular homeostasis by promoting endothelial integrity and facilitating leukocyte transmigration during inflammation. Dysregulation of TMIGD2 has been linked to immune dysregulation and inflammatory disorders, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in autoimmune diseases and vascular inflammation.
