Descripción
Nectin cell adhesion molecule 2 (NECTIN2) is integral to the immune system, where it facilitates the formation of immunological synapses and mediates cell adhesion in epithelial tissues. It is a ligand for DNAM-1, a receptor on natural killer cells and T-cells, playing a critical role in immune surveillance and cytotoxic activity. NECTIN2 is also involved in the maintenance of epithelial cell integrity and contributes to wound healing and tissue repair processes through its interactions with neighboring cell adhesion molecules.
