Descripción
SIGLEC10 is a transmembrane protein expressed on various immune cells, including B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It recognizes sialic acid-containing ligands and is known for its inhibitory role in immune responses, mediated through immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs) in its cytoplasmic tail. SIGLEC10 is implicated in preventing excessive inflammation and maintaining immune tolerance.
