Description
Sialic Acid (SA) Assay Kit is an assay kit for the detection and quantification of Sialic Acid (SA) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, saliva, urine and hydrothorax using a spectrophotometer. Sialic acid forms a purplish red complex with methyl resorcinol in the presence of oxidant. The absorbance conforms to Lambert-Beer's law. The content of sialic acid can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 560 nm. When using tissue and cell samples, the protein concentration should also be measured (abx295099 and abx090644 are recommended).
