Descripción
ACTR6, or ARP6, is a nuclear actin-related protein involved in chromatin remodeling complexes like SWR1. It facilitates histone exchange, particularly the incorporation of H2A.Z into chromatin. Structurally, ACTR6 contains conserved actin domains that mediate its interaction with chromatin remodeling factors. ACTR6 is essential for transcriptional regulation, DNA repair, and maintaining chromatin stability. Its dysfunction can lead to transcriptional dysregulation and genomic instability, contributing to cancer and developmental disorders.
