Descripción
ACTR1B is a paralog of ACTR1A and similarly functions as part of the dynactin complex. It stabilizes the interaction between dynein motors and cargo for efficient intracellular transport. Structurally, ACTR1B forms filament-like structures with other dynactin components, closely resembling actin polymers. Its expression is critical for endosomal and lysosomal trafficking, mitotic spindle positioning, and nuclear migration. ACTR1B dysfunction can lead to disruptions in cellular organization and neurological development, underscoring its importance in cytoskeletal dynamics.
