ANKRD35 is another member of the ankyrin repeat protein family, characterized by its ability to mediate protein-protein interactions involved in transcriptional regulation and chromatin organization. ANKRD35 is thought to act as a nuclear scaffold protein, coordinating the activity of other nuclear factors that regulate gene expression. Emerging evidence suggests its dysregulation may contribute to cancer development, where aberrant transcriptional activity promotes uncontrolled cell proliferation.
