Descripción
WD repeat and FYVE domain containing 2 (WDFY2) shares similarities with WDFY1, as it also contains WD repeats and a FYVE domain that enable it to participate in cellular signaling and membrane trafficking. This protein is involved in processes like receptor endocytosis and lysosomal degradation, where it interacts with other proteins to regulate the movement of vesicles within the cell. Like WDFY1, WDFY2 binds phosphoinositides, which are key molecules in cellular membrane dynamics.
